Why You Need Help – Part 2

Emotional support is essential to personal well being. I am fortunate enough to have a great husband and good friends that are willing to listen. They talk me through whatever I am feeling and give me their input when I am trying to make a decision on some aspect of my life. If you do not have any family or friends readily available, I recommend reaching out to like minded people.

Become part of a community. Whether you join a gym, a Mommy group, become part of a community center or even a Facebook group it is important to reach out to other people. Do not isolate yourself. Aside from my friends, I am a member of a few online groups for women entrepreneurs and the resources and support that I have received has been invaluable to me as a business owner expanding my business.

All mothers struggle with guilt and finding balance. Regardless of parenting style, everyone experiences similar anxieties about raising children. You worry about whether or not you are doing the right thing for yourself and for your family. You want your kids to grow up strong, happy and confident. Find your tribe of women who you can talk to about all of your fears and challenges. You will feel so much better when you realize that everyone is dealing with the same issues.

Every successful person has a team of people behind them.  To accomplish your goals you need help. Whether in business or in life, you must have people you can bounce ideas off of and whom you can turn to for advice and encouragement. You also need people who have different skills that can add another element to what you are doing. When I am strategizing my own goals, I turn to my life coach. She keeps me grounded, focused and accountable for all of the actions that I want to take on my journey to finding balance and success in my life.

Do not hesitate to ask when you need something. If you cannot afford to hire help, tap into the women around you. You will find that not only will your friends be more than willing to help but you will make them feel good that they are not the only ones who feel overwhelmed some days.
